Okuma announces new web seminar on innovative dressing tools
Krefeld (Germany), 13 April 2021. In addition to its “Okuma Virtual Experience”, Okuma is currently creating a range of different digital contact points for its customers. Among other things, an online seminar on the topic of grinding and dressing will take place on Tuesday, 4 May 2021. It will be devoting 1.5 hours to dressing technology from process analysis to the “right” dresser. Christoph Müller, Division Manager Applications Engineering at DR. KAISER DIAMANTWERKZEUGE, will also be there.
“Innovative solutions for precision grinding”
Andreas Lemaire, Product Manager for Grinders at Okuma Europe, will start things off at 10 am. He will introduce the manufacturer’s grinder product range. In particular, he will demonstrate the required symbiosis of mechanics and the company’s own OSP control system, which provides the foundation for reliable and process-safe production with maximum precision for Okuma.
“If you can’t dress, you can’t grind!”
Afterwards, Christoph Müller, Division Manager Applications Engineering at DR. KAISER DIAMANTWERKZEUGE GmbH & Co. KG, will provide an overview of current dressing technology. Among other things, he will answer why grinding wheels have to be dressed and which three regulating variables are important in this process. The presentation will be rounded off with information on stationary and rotary dressers and dressing superabrasives. Christoph Müller will also explain how the DR. KAISER app respectivly the Okuma software can support you with this.
At the end, there will also be the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the best way to optimise processes and maximise performance.
