OSP-P300 Control

The Next-Generation Intelligent CNC

Okuma’s OSP-P300 is specifically designed to meet contemporary manufacturing needs and enhance the operator experience. We made new features reality by building on our machining expertise and based on requests we received from our customers. While the OSP-P provides a variety of user benefits, its greatest strength is that it provides comprehensive, centralised data in one easy-to-use interface.

The OSP-P control provides additional efficiency with its new shared database. Data that is input in one area of the control is automatically shared in other areas. With these new functionalities, redundancy of CNC control operations is greatly reduced, and ultimately shortens setup times.

The OSP-P300 grants the following features and advantages

  • Windows®based, open-architecture platform and PC-compatible
  • Industrial standard Ethernet and multiple USB ports
  • OSP suite interface
  • Work from one screen for greatly reduced setup times
  • Easy office integration
  • A workflow based operational system
  • Tool data sharing between different functions
  • Easy connectivity for integration of production planning systems
  • Mobile phone alerts
  • Handy access to tooling lists, setup spreadsheets, process documents
    and other useful set-up tools

OSP Virus Protection System

Virus scanning technology in Okuma control

The OSP-VPS embeds a virus scanning application programming interface in the control to prevent infection by viruses from networks or USB flash drives. This is indispensable for users who exchange data at risk of viral infection and users who can use only trusted devices.

Reliability: Prior to distribution of pattern file and search engine updates, operations are verified in advance by Okuma to prevent CNC software detection errors.

Maintainability: The system issues an alarm when a virus is detected, and corrective actions can be checked on the display.

Safety: Scheduled virus scans are performed after completion of automatic and MDI operations to prevent slowing of screen responses.

Usability: Pattern file and search engine updates can be done either manually via the user’s PC or automatically via the Internet.
