50th anniversary of EMO Hannover from 22 to 26 September

Okuma Europe participates with spectacular premieres at EMO

Krefeld/Hanover /(Germany), 1 September 2025. To mark the 50th anniversary of EMO in Hanover, Okuma Europe is ready to impress its guests with one world and four European premieres. From 22 to 26 September 2025, visitors at Stand D28 in Hall 14 will be able to see live demonstrations showcasing the powerful functionality, maximum precision, and ease of use of its CNC machine tools. Okuma's 960 m² booth will also feature eight more machines that have been specially tailored to meet customer needs.

Five European premieres for greater precision and efficiency
The Horizontal Machining Centre MS-320H with four axes is suitable for medium and large batch sizes, and its space-efficient design enables it to fit within a small footprint. Various automation options, like the Okuma gantry loader or an external robot, allow long runtimes and high productivity without manual intervention. The vertical table arrangement and a continuous chip conveyor also facilitate this, avoiding unnecessary disruptions.

The Horizontal Lathe LB4000 EX III  is highly configurable and suitable for heavy-duty and high-speed machining. It is the perfect all-rounder for a range of machining processes. At EMO, visitors will see the LB4000 EX III for the first time with driven tools (M), an additional Y-axis, and an optional counter spindle (W). The last-mentioned option enables automatic workpiece transfer and complete machining of workpieces within a single machine. The inclined bed design and Okuma's proprietary Thermo-Friendly Concept also contribute to higher quality results.

To meet the most demanding requirements in large-scale series production and offering flexible machining solutions: Okuma's brand new 4-axis Horizontal Machining Centre MA-4000H provides optimum cutting performance with exceptional precision, thanks to its robust design and powerful spindle. The machine is ideal for a variety of applications, for example in the automotive sector or in the manufacture of construction equipment. Another advantage is that, despite its exceptionally large machining surface and table size of 400 x 400 mm, it only requires a small footprint. The MA-4000H can be upgraded with optional flexible production systems, pallet stations and robots for autonomous operation.

With the Horizontal Machining CentreMB-5000HII, Okuma presents a model from the popular MB-H series. This thermally stable machining centre impresses with its rapid acceleration and extremely low tool change times, leading to significantly improved productivity and shorter cycle times. The clever chip disposal system also significantly contributes to continuous machining. EMO attendees will see the machine for the first time in combination with Okuma's brand-new Tower APC (Automatic Pallet Changer): In response to the increasing demand for automated production, the tower can accommodate up to 13 pallets and permits particularly lengthy production times. The optimised design and intuitive controls ensure swift commissioning and straightforward operation.

World premiere for exceptionally large workpieces
The highly robust 3-axis Vertical Machining CentreMB-100V will attract particular interest from EMO trade visitors. With a work area of up to three metres, this world premiere enables the machining of exceptionally large workpieces – all within a relatively compact footprint. This makes the MB-100V ideal for demanding series production because it can be operated autonomously at any time when combined with suitable automation solutions like pallet changers, robot systems, and flexible production cells. As part of Okuma's Green Smart Machine initiative, the machine is also equipped with various standard features that minimise energy consumption, even when operating at full capacity.

Further improvements for the benefit of customers
Okuma's CNC machines have been impressing customers in the automotive, aerospace, tool and mould-making, and pharmaceutical industries for many years. To meet their long-term needs and consistently provide the finest performance, Okuma is always developing its services, machines, and technologies. The company will be displaying some of these developments at EMO. These include the successful Multitasking Machine MULTUS U3000, on which the friction stir welding process will be demonstrated; several 5-axis machining centres for intensive, high-speed, high-precision processes; various automation solutions incorporating external robots and gantry loader systems; and the Horizontal Lathe LB3000 EX III, which is ideal for the precise machining of individual parts and small to medium-sized series. The lathe also features the integrated ARMROID automation solution. A "skeleton model" will also be on display, giving visitors to the stand an idea of the machine's design.
