Okuma opens new Solution Center in Krefeld

Krefeld, 16 December 2025. Okuma Europe GmbH is setting a milestone for the future: In March 2026, the new Solution Center will open in Krefeld. This innovation hub will offer customers from Germany, the Benelux countries and across Europe a comprehensive, hands-on insight into the latest machine tools and automation solutions offered by the CNC machine manufacturer.

At the same time, the Solution Center will provide for in-depth consultation, idea exchange and the development of new solutions. Together with the new state-of-the-art training centre, the European headquarters in Krefeld will soon offer customers the full Okuma experience.

“Just three years after decision to expand our site in Krefeld, we are delighted to announce the opening of the Solution Center, where all our expertise merges. Our customers will enjoy long-term benefits from the synergies being created here,” explains Norbert Teeuwen, Managing Director of Okuma Europe GmbH.

Comprehensive Solution Provider
At the new Solution Center, visitors experience Okuma as a true full-service solution provider: The company will showcase presents a selection of its machines combined with a wide range of cutting-edge automation and NC machining technology.

On display are both standardised in-house automation systems such as the Okuma ARMROID, as well as various automation solutions from leading technology partners like Promro, Robojob, Cellro and Indunorm. Visitors will, for example, discover the 5-axis Machining Centre GENOS M460V-5AX with an external automation or the LT2000 EX equipped with Okuma’s own Gantry Loader system. This extensive smart factory portfolio allows individual requirements to be demonstrated, coordinated and customised directly on site.

To provide the full-service experience even more accessible in one location, both the entire application engineering team and the training centre of Okuma Deutschland GmbH will be relocating to the new building in Krefeld.

From March 2026 onwards, the new Solution Center will invite visitors on a journey through the world of modern manufacturing technology – from machine and technology exhibitions to hands-on training and practical courses on the intuitively operated OSP control. Appointments can easily be arranged via your local Okuma contact person as well as on the Okuma Europe and Okuma Deutschland websites.

Grand Opening at the “Open House”
The official opening will take place on 4 and 5 March 2026, as part of the annual “Open House” event. This year, an exciting programme awaits visitors: live machining demonstrations including machine showcases and fascinating guided tours of the European headquarters offer unique insights – including tours through the new areas of the building. Particularly impressive is the centre’s forward-thinking, energy-efficient design, featuring photovoltaic systems and a heat pump in line with sustainability principles.
